THE CERTIFICATE:: Each of the handcrafted ink pens has a certificate of authenticity, and has been signed individually by Dwight Maddox, and the artist for whom he made the guitar.
THE PEN:: For over twenty years Dwight Maddox has been making exquisite handmade custom guitars. Each guitar starts out as a piece of raw cut wood, hand selected by Dwight. After he creates the one of a kind guitar, Dwight uses the scrap wood to hand craft ink pens. Usually, Dwight yields 200 pens from the scrap wood left over from the guitar. Each pen, made by hand, is one of a kind. Think about it. You're not only getting something to write with, you're getting a limited edition work of art that could have been the meat and potatoes of the guitar, but it just grew at the wrong time.

THE CAUSE: The mission of The Better Life Foundation is to make a positive change in the lives of children in need of food, shelter and medical assistance, and to enhance the lives of children and young adults with special needs. The Better Life Foundation will work to raise money each year that will be distributed to organizations and hospitals that we believe will help us fulfill our mission so these children are offered a better life in which they can develop their potential, achieve their goals, and, become caring and responsible adults. John Thomas Griffith is an American Singer-songwriter from Louisiana. Best known as a guitarist and vocalist from the band Cowboy Mouth, in which he has been a member since 1990. John Thomas Griffith first established himself on the American music scene in the early 1980s as lead singer and guitarist for the Red Rockers, co-writing their 1983 MTV hit "China".
Clay Cook
Atlanta native Clay Cook has made his living through many avenues in the music industry over the past decade. An accomplished multi-instrumentalist, he has recorded and toured with John Mayer, Sugarland, The Marshall Tucker Band, & Shawn Mullins. Along with his own solo efforts, Cook has written songs for Mayer & The Marshall Tucker Band. Owner & operator of The Small Room Studio in Inman Park, he has produced & engineered records for local artists & the occasional national act. ***2009 finds Clay as a newly added member of the ZAC BROWN BAND.
